About Bill McQueen
A long-time resident of California, having lived in Concord for nearly three decades since moving from Houston, Texas in 1997, Bill McQueen brings a wealth of experience to McQueen Insurance Solutions. His extensive career in the employee benefits industry began in 1994, encompassing roles as an underwriter, benefits consultant working with major healthcare purchasers, and ultimately as an account manager and executive for prominent California insurance carriers.
Following a successful corporate career, Bill founded McQueen Insurance Solutions in 2023, driven by a passion for assisting his community with their insurance needs. His comprehensive understanding of employer health plans and benefit programs, gained over 30 years in the industry, provides a valuable and broad perspective to his client advisory relationships. He excels at demystifying complex benefits concepts, ensuring clients have the knowledge necessary to make informed decisions.
Bill believes that the foundation of effective client advising lies in active listening and a thorough understanding of individual situations and needs. This client-centric approach enables him to craft personalized insurance solutions tailored to each unique requirement.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Bill is an active member of the Concord community. He resides in Concord with his wife and two dogs and serves on the Board of Directors as Club Treasurer for the local Rotary Club. His commitment to service extends to regular volunteer work at the Food Bank of Contra Costa & Solano Counties and the Pleasant Hill Habitat for Humanity project, as well as participation in numerous other local Rotary-sponsored charitable initiatives benefiting students and seniors.
Bill's educational foundation includes a Bachelor of Science degree with concentrations in Finance and Human Resources Management from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with concentrations in Finance and Accounting from The University of Texas at Austin's McCombs School of Business. He has also earned the designation of Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) from The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania, further demonstrating his commitment to professional excellence.
